With the blessing of His Holiness the Bulgarian Patriarch and Sofia Metropolitan Neophyte on Easter Saturday (April 7th) at 12:00 am in the church of St. Cross of the Lord in the district of Lozenets, children from Sunday schools from the Sofia diocese will paint paschal eggs.
Be part of the joy of the greatest feast – the Resurrection of Christ. We will be happy to meet, communicate and play together. After painting the eggs we have prepared fun games to learn more about the holiday and to start a great friendship.
All children and parents from the neighborhood are also invited to our pre-party. The only thing you have to wear is your creative ideas and a lot of smiles. The newly-built church opened its doors less than a year ago, but already gathers children for Sunday religious doctrines. For now, they only have a room, but it quickly gets worse.
Young children need a spacious place for their lessons, so they decided to help build the parish center just as they can.
Over the past few weeks, children have been doing different themes related to Sunday Sundays. Besides having learned important lessons, they worked out charity bazaar handicrafts. Anyone who wants to support their initiative will be able to do it by taking something from the bazaar. Children do not want to sell their labor because faith and deeds have no price, so you can leave as much as you think. This is their way to help the temple and the building of the parish center.
Friends, this is the holiday when in our soul is light and clean. When God’s grace descends to bring warmth to all of us. Our children teach faith, hope, love and mercy. They all infect us with good. So the thread of virtues does not break, because it is no longer a thread but a strong chain.
