Bulgarian Patriarch Neofit sent condolences to Patriarch Kirill of Russia on the incident in Magnitogorsk, in which dozens died.
TO HIS HOLINESS KIRIL, PATRIARCH OF MOSCOW AND ALL RUSSIA
YOUR HOLINESS,
Beloved in the Lord brother and concelebrant!
In the first days of the New Year, when our eyes, filled with hope for the better, are turned to the forthcoming year, our hearts and souls were darkened by the tragic incident with the collapsed residential building in the town of Magnitogorsk, Russia. Our grief is enormous because of the number of the perished human lives.
In these days, when the brotherly people in Russia anticipate the feast of Christ’s Nativity with excitement, accept our sincere and heartfelt condolences for those who died in the severe accident. We are offering up a fervent prayer to our Saviour, Lord Jesus Christ, to give forgiveness of the sins of all the victims, and make them heirs of the Kingdom of God. May God comfort the victims’ relatives in the unfortunate tragedy by giving them the strength to overcome the grief of the heavy loss. We pray to the All-Giving God for the health and quick recovery of the injured and wounded.
Eternal and blessed to be the memory of those who died in the unfortunate tragedy in the town of Magnitogorsk!
