Today we celebrate 70 years from the martyr’s death and 130 years from the birth Metropolitan of Nevrokop Boris

In the tribute to his merits, high spirituality and martyrdom, with the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan of Nevrocop Seraphim, Blagoevgrad Municipality, Southwestern University „Neofit Rilski“ and the Macedonian scientific institute organize a solemn two-day commemoration. The celebration take place on 16 and 17 November 2018 in Blagoevgrad and will include a series of events open to the general public.

Today in the Municipal Hall „22 September“ a solemn scientific session held presenting papers on the case and personality of Metropolitan Boris. Participation will be held by representatives of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church and the academic community as well as prominent public figures and people whose memories have been sealed by His Eminence Metropolitan Boris.

The celebration will continue on November 17th at 9:00 am with the hierarchical Holy Liturgy in the church „Introduction of the Mother of God“, after which will be served the Panichyda at the grave of the Metropolitan Boris.
