At today’s regular session, the Holy Synod of the BOC has appointed October 24, when we celebrate the feast of the Mother of God – the joy of all the mourners, to be a day of prayer for disabled children, the official site of the Holy Synod said.
A prayer for disabled children with disabilities will be held on October 24. The Holy Synod also sets the Day of Prayer for Disabled Children. „October 24, to mark the day of prayer and the Orthodox calendar as a „prayer for children with disabilities“, says the decision.
