At the beginning of the school year, the students of the Sofia Spiritual Seminary visited the History Museum of Sofia. They were led by Hieromonk Meletius, Deputy. rector of the spiritual school. We offer you the story of Stefan Momchilov and Georgi Chorbadjiev, published on the official website of the spiritual Alma Mater.
On September 15, 2018 we, the students of the Sofia Seminary, visited the History Museum of Sofia. On the eve of the city’s celebration, we met his past. We saw prehistoric finds, treasures from Antiquity, icons and manuscripts from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. But perhaps the most impressive were the exhibits of the Third Bulgarian Kingdom – the Tsar Ferdinand’s parade carriage, a tramway from the beginning of the 20th century, furniture from the homes of prominent Bulgarians. We also learned that the Museum building – the former mineral baths – was designed by the same architect as the Seminary: Friedrich Gruenager. It was fascinating and interesting, people were very kind. Led by Father Meletius and our senior classmates, the walk was blessed.
