On June 23, the 11th edition of „Cherry Fest“ was opened in Kyustendil.
The feast is dedicated to the glory of the Kyustendil region as the orchard of Bulgaria. The organizers of the fest are the Municipality of Kyustendil, together with the local Institute of Agriculture. The guests of the event were His Eminence Nevrokopski Metropolitan Seraphim, Bishop Polycarp and Adrianopolis Bishop Evlogi – Abbot of the Rila Monastery, as well as Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Denitsa Nikolova. Bishop Polycarp greeted Kyustendil and the guests of the town and surrendered the blessing of Patriarch Neofit for health, blessed years in peace, love, unity and prosperity.
