On Saturday, a new temple dedicated to St. Porphyrius Kavosokalivitos and St. Paisii the Holy Gospel was sanctified in Zagora, Magnesia, Greece. The service was performed by Metropolitan Nektarios.
Dozens of Orthodox Christians, statesmen and representatives of local government attended the solemn service. At the end of the liturgy, Metropolitan Nektarius highlighted the importance of the respect of these two divine saints and quick helpers and miracles. The holiday ended with folk dances and folk dances.
After the canonization of St. Porphyry and St. Paisius in our southern neighbor, dozens of temples and chapels were illuminated in their name, which only reinforces the deep respect that the Greeks ask for the two saintly saints.
