The Bulgarian Orthodox Church started the eighth brewing of holy oil

The Patriarch of Bulgaria Neofyte led today the watershed, which was the beginning of the eighth consecutive brewing of holy oil in the history of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church.

The sanctification of water was preceded by the Holy Liturgy of St. Gregory, which is held during the first three days of the Holy Week.

His Holiness read the first reading of the evangelical readings, after which the bishops of Melnik (Gerasim) and Belogradchik (Polycarp) did so. The reading of the evangelical excerpts will last for three days and at the same time the ingredients of the ointment will be constantly stirring.
