The bright celebration of Annunciation and this year gathers us to bow our heads and worship to the Divine mystery of the Divine worship, and once again sing our Mother and Holy Mother of God, to exalt our hearts with that love that first our Heavenly Father testified to us by passing through her to us His Son and our God, the Lord Jesus Christ, to deliver us from the bondage of sin and death, and to open again to us the gates of the Kingdom of Heaven.
„Today is the beginning of our salvation“ – so the whole Church of God sings on this day, rejoicing in the majesty of the image of God’s chosen Miriam. To the one who, in the feat of purity and holiness, and in complete obedience to the will of God, honors the honor of the no-one before and after her to become the Mother of God, to place Incontinent, and thus to give the human share in the Divine God- the victory over the darkness, the salvation and the renewal of all creation.
We bow before the mystery of the Incarnation and magnify the Exalted God’s Oracle, which today testifies to all of us today and says, “ My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour
… or, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed“(Luke 1: 46-48).
On this day, our joy is even greater, as we have the opportunity to share this joy with all of you – the rector’s leadership, teachers, students and guests of our heart-worthy Sofia Theological Seminary – our general nursing and spiritual educator in the rescue truths the Orthodox faith and godliness, which always wore the name of the All-Bulgarian saint and miracle-worker John.
Today’s solemn day is crowned by another truly festive and exciting event – the passing of the seminar flag from the graduate to the next course. It is a banner for every seminary that is a true holy place and a symbol of that high responsibility that lies on all of us – the children of the Rila saint and alumni of this century-old theological school. An act of tradition and continuity, which has always carried in itself a profound meaning and message to future generations – to those who come after us to continue the work of spiritual enlightenment and pastoral care among our Orthodox people.
Fatherly greetings and greetings with the Feast of Annunciation to all of you and especially to the graduates from the 2018 Class of the Sofia Theological Seminary, for whom we cordially pray before our Lord Jesus Christ and His Holy Mother and, our divine father and prayer advocate John of Rila and all the blessed saints – to enter into their chosen path in life, to have a true holy blessing of joy, a strong health and a spirited spirit, wisdom and grace for many and God blessed successes in their forthcoming “ to the Church and the homeland for the benefit“.
God of peace and love, of every Wisdom, and every useful knowledge to be with all of you!
Blessed Feast!
